Fresh additions to the roster of Swiss online gambling sites that have been deemed unauthorized and restricted
Friday, October 29, 2023The Eidgenössische Spielbankenkommission (ESBK) and Gespa, Swiss gambling regulatory authorities, have updated their list of unauthorized gambling websites.
Nearly 50 sites added
Over 50 online gambling websites, including one with the domain -288-563.com- that redirects users to Bet365, have recently been blacklisted. In response, authorities have instructed internet service providers to block access to all sites listed.
A total of 18 places have been blacklisted by Gespa, which includes Matchbook.com, a betting exchange, csgoempire.com, a sports betting site, and bahigo64.com, the 11th Bahigo-branded site to be added to the list.
In addition to that, Betadonis.com, cryptokitties.co, and escowin10.com have been included as well.
The ESBK list consists of 31 additional names, which encompass two Bahigo brands, six Playamo websites, two Superbit Casino domains, and five Wild Tornado pages.
Regularly updated lists
Since 2019, the gambling regulators of the German-speaking and English-speaking cantons of Switzerland, ESBK and Gespa, have been regularly publishing and updating blacklists of online gambling domains.
Regularly updated blacklists highlight domains that are being illegally exploited in Switzerland, as determined by ESBK or Comlot.
The latest list, published in 2023, comprises domains that are illegally operating in the country. Both ESBK and Comlot regularly update these blacklists, which aim to identify websites that are being unlawfully exploited in Switzerland. Since 2019, over 600 websites have been added to these blacklists by both regulatory bodies.
